My name is Marie and I am an L.A. based director.

Born and raised in Paris, I have always been passionate about cinema. From a very young age, I began expanding my knowledge and honing my analytical thinking of films in addition to making them as a hobby. However, I made a detour before beginning my career in narrative filmmaking.

After graduating from business school, I spent 8 years working in marketing and strategy for companies. Whether it was for big corporations (L’Oreal, Disney or Kraft Foods) or startups (Paris Zigzag and Cartesia Education), I was always drawn to the most creative aspects of this field and more specifically, the advertising and video producing.

I moved to L.A. in 2021 to launch into narrative filmmaking and pursued a Directing degree at UCLA. Now, I bring stories to the big screen myself and I am immensely grateful for the opportunities I’ve had since the beginning of this career switch. I’ve had the chance of showing my films in several festivals including the Oscar-qualifyings LA Shorts International Film Festival and Hollyshorts but also the American Cinematheque’s Proof Film Festival, the Nikon Film Festival and The Wild and Scenic Film Festival.

My favorite part of the job are the people I work with as I love the collective aspect of movie-making. Half French, half Lebanese, I believe that multiculturalism within the team on set is essential.
